A perfect example of boat art from Riva: El-Iseo

Updated on October 19th, 2024

As much as some of us may enjoy the noble, bassy sound of some of the excellent internal combustion engines found in classic boats, it is clearly time to move on to a future in which gasoline and diesel will be considered a barbaric relic of the past.

And although we will miss the ICE, we look forward to the latest developments in the field of electric motors and are ready to happily use any alternative options if they allow us to get rid of fuel and lubricants and the numerous problems that accompany them. Moreover, the world of electricity is truly incredible and extremely interesting.

Be that as it may, the new 8.4-meter Riva El-Iseo model did not attract our attention because it is electric. Today this trend will not surprise anyone. On the contrary, it would be strange if it ran on liquid fuel. But this boat’s incredible refined lines and harmonious combination of all hull details make her one of the most amazingly enjoyable tenders available today. Therefore, she immediately made it onto our list of the most beautiful boats, which has become incredibly popular among motor yachting enthusiasts.

One cannot say that this boat is elegant, because it transcends the very concept of elegance. The design of Riva’s tenders and yachts has always been very difficult to beat without crossing the line into outright plagiarism. It doesn’t matter, though, because if you’re looking for something similar to the Riva, you just call your nearest Riva dealer.

El-Iseo falls into that category of boats that there is no point in describing in words, they just need to be seen up close. Naturally, the incredible quality of the finish is in keeping with Riva’s Italian traditions. That luxurious simplicity that you can immediately notice not only in the exterior but also in the cockpit design is what we really love. The design was created by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, founders of Officina Italiana Design.
