Azimut Seadeck 6: a beautiful boat, but the words about ecology are too loud

Azimut Seadeck 6

Updated on October 19th, 2024

“We really care about the environment, so let’s stick three engines instead of one or two,” – Azimut probably decided and introduced the Seadeck 6. The shipyard representatives claim that, in total, this model has 40% fewer emissions than similarly sized ones boats.

This may indeed be true if we look solely at the world of diesel and hybrid motor yachts, but even if we forget about all-electric boats that have no emissions at all, fuel consumption of 130 liters per hour at 15 knots is still not environmentally friendly and appalling any trawler owner.

But yes, this is a fast planing boat that is sure to find its niche as an excellent platform for comfortable coastal cruising. We must admit that the yacht is really beautiful and has pleasant, light interiors. In addition, the very wide stern not only promotes stable planing at low speeds, but also offers an unusually spacious beach club.

The boat is equipped with all available modern systems, and when constructing the hull and decorating the interiors, recycled waste, such as plastic bottles and other things, is used as an environmental contribution. Probably in the form of compensation for the three installed diesel engines.
